Working Principle
Based on Snell's law, when light transitions from a higher-refractive-index medium to a lower-refractive-index medium, the angle of incidence is less than the angle of refraction. By adjusting the incident angle, the refraction angle reaches 90°- this specific incident angle is known as the critical angle. The Abbe refractometer precisely determines the refractive index by measuring this critical angle.
